Pilates
A Matwork Pilates class is a low-impact workout that focuses on improving strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. The exercises are performed on a mat and are designed to engage your core, enhance posture, and promote a balanced, aligned body. In each session, you’ll work through a series of controlled movements that target various muscle groups, with an emphasis on smooth, flowing motions and proper breathing. The focus is on quality, not quantity, ensuring that each movement is done with precision to maximize its benefits. Whether you're new to exercise or a seasoned athlete, modifications are provided to meet different fitness levels, making it a great option for anyone looking to build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance body control.

Intermediate Pilates
An Intermediate Pilates Mat work class builds on the foundational principles of Pilates, introducing more challenging exercises that require greater strength, coordination, and flexibility. In this class, you'll move through a series of controlled, fluid movements designed to target deeper core muscles and engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously. The pace may be slightly faster than a beginner class, with a focus on flowing from one exercise to the next while maintaining precision and alignment. Expect to work on improving your stability, balance, and overall muscle tone, particularly in the core, legs, and upper body. The instructor will offer modifications to ensure you’re challenging yourself at the right level, while still emphasizing control, breathing, and proper form.

Beginner Pilates
A Matwork Pilates class for beginners is designed to introduce you to the fundamental principles of Pilates in a gentle and accessible way. The class focuses on building a strong foundation by teaching you how to engage your core, improve your posture, and move with control and precision. You’ll start with simple movements that focus on body awareness, helping you understand how to align your spine and activate key muscle groups. The pace is slow and steady, allowing you to learn proper form and technique while developing strength and flexibility. Throughout the class, the instructor will offer guidance and modifications to ensure the exercises are suitable for your level, helping you build confidence and gradually increase your endurance.
