Sports Therapy
Our Sports Therapists here at Bayside are healthcare professionals who specialise in recognising an injury, understanding pain and providing manual therapy and other treatment modalities including rehabilitation to help you recover. They work with individuals of all ages and abilities, from elite athletes to recreational exercisers, providing expert care to help manage and recover from injuries while improving overall physical performance.
Sports therapists are trained to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries, assess movement patterns to identify potential causes of pain or limited movement. They often use methods like manual therapy/remedial massage, taping, dry needling, joint mobilisations and exercise therapy to promote healing and alleviate pain with a holistic approach. Following an injury, our sports therapists can design personalised rehabilitation programs to help individuals regain strength, mobility, and function or normal activity.
A Sports therapist offers valuable guidance on good general health and wellbeing and can look at your situation with a multi-modal lens as well as work together with our other in-house professions.
