Dr Adam Floreani / Director

 

BSc. (Chiro), B. Chiro, ICCSP, ASCA 1

 

Adam graduated from Murdoch University, Perth in 2010 where he received the Sports Chiropractic Graduate Award.

​

Adam is now the Sports Chiropractic Australia Vice President, which has enabled him to work with international sporting teams and events.

​

Adam continues to have a special interest on sports injury prevention, management & rehabilitation, but also loves family care.

​

Outside of the Clinic, you will find Adam playing football, doing Cross Fit or spending time with his Wife Ella & Daughters Zoe, Lucy & Tilly.

Dr Nathan Akmens

Helping the body perform at its best is the foundation of Nat’s chiropractic care. His proactive, personalised and functional approach is designed to help people feel better – and move better – for life. Since graduating in 2010 from Murdoch University, Perth, Nat has continued to build on his passions in the field, undertaking additional training in international sports chiropractic (ICCSP – FICS), holistic health practices (HLC 2 – CHEK Institute), movement assessment, paediatrics – family care, and ELDOA – myofascial stretching (Guy Voyer).

 

Nat combines a whole body perspective with a variety of hands-on treatment techniques and movement strategies to achieve the best patient-centred outcomes. Modalities he utilises include: spinal and extremity adjusting, dry needling, Graston Technique, FAKTR, and additional soft tissue/fascial techniques. Outside the clinic you will find Nat surfing, in the yoga studio or on a trail enjoying the best of nature.

Dr Brigette Mackie

 

BSc. (Chiro), B. Chiro

 

Brigette graduated from RMIT University, Melbourne, with a double degree in Health Science and Applied Science (Chiropractic) in 2020 and worked in a Melbourne practice before transitioning back to her hometown of Adelaide. 

 

Brigette’s holistic approach along with her warm nature creates a safe space for her patients to share their concerns and goals, allowing her to work collaboratively with them to develop personalised and specific treatment plans that align with their individual needs. Thus allowing her patients to thrive in their day to day life.

 

In addition to having a Certification in Mat and Reformer Pilates, Brigette also has a deep interest in family care and women’s health and pregnancy, where she incorporates a multimodal approach to treatment specifically tailored to ones unique needs. Due to Brigette’s passion for providing holistic care, she incorporates various techniques into her treatment, including; manual and low force adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue, and exercise prescription. 

 

Brigette has extensive knowledge in women’s health, understanding the unique changes and challenges over the course of a woman’s life, she is dedicated to supporting women on their wellness journey. Brigette is committed to furthering her education as a practitioner and thus far has completed the following courses, Women Fertility and Pregnancy Care Essential, Momentum Pregnancy Adjusting and Inspiral Paediatrics. Dr Brigette takes pride in educating and guiding her patients on exercise prescription providing them with tools to take an active role in their own health, allowing them to make informed choices that support their overall wellbeing.

Hayley Openshaw

B. Podiatry

 

Hayley graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2014. Since then, she has been lucky enough to travel with her work, living in places like London and Melbourne. She has since returned to her home roots, Adelaide, where she’s continued to grow as a podiatrist.

​

Hayley takes a special interest in sports podiatry and follows the forever changing world of running shoe technology. She is skilled in biomechanical assessments, footwear prescription, orthotic therapy, exercise prescription and manual therapy (including dry needling).

​

Hayley is passionate about injury prevention and functional movement outcomes to ensure her clients are experiencing the most of life!
 

Behind the scenes, Hayley trains with an elite all-girls sprint squad (Atalanta Athletics Adelaide) for state and national events within professional sprinting and surf lifesaving.

Tahlia Cousins 

BHthSc, MPhysio, Sports Nutritionist 

 

Tahlia graduated from Flinders University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Physiotherapy. Since graduating, Tahlia has worked in private practices in Adelaide, as well as the Glenelg community hospital where she gained experience treating patients post knee and hip replacement and Flinders hospital gaining experience treating a wide variety of physiotherapy presentations. Tahlia individualizes her treatment for each patient, utilizing a mixture of hands on soft tissue massage and mobilisation, exercise based rehabilitation and education on musculoskeletal conditions and management to empower the patient to achieve their goals. 

 

She has also completed a Diploma in Sports and Performance Nutrition through the IOPN and further accreditation through Sports Nutrition Australia. In addition to physiotherapy, she has a passion for helping you to fuel your body to optimise sports performance and support your lifestyle.

Nathan Ward


Dip. Remedial Massage Therapy, B.HlthSc, MPhysio

Nathan is a holistic physiotherapist, who graduated from Flinders University with a Master of Physiotherapy in 2023. He has a patient centered focus. He specialises in manual therapies, exercise therapy, IASTM, myofascial release, dry needling, sinus drainage and goal specific rehabilitation. 

​

His clinical career has spanned over 15 years as a remedial massage therapist, and now a physiotherapist, managing all your musculoskeletal needs. Nathan currently works in elite sport with Redbacks and Strikers cricket teams.

​

Nathan enjoys keeping fit with attending the gym regularly and loves to watch live sport.

Michael Sobol

Mike has over 15 years experience in the industry.

​

He has worked with elite sporting teams such as the Adelaide Strikers, Red Backs and Port Adelaide FC.

​

Amongst his Remedial skill set, Mike also uses techniques such as; Dry Needling & Myofascial Cupping.

​

Outside of the clinic, Mike is busy chasing around his 4 children!

Chris Maslen

Chris uses his skills in sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial cupping and trigger point therapy to help you achieve your goals – whatever they may be!

 

Chris believes in being actively engaged with each and every client and showing empathy around their care. Having a long history of sporting injuries and managing his own chronic pain he has a deeper understanding of what you may be going through and what its going to take to get back to performing at your best.

 

When Chris isn’t in the clinic, he’ll be spending time with his partner, chasing around after his 2 young boys, watching far too much sport, and working for the Adelaide Crows as a massage therapist and sports trainer.

Daniel Thomas

Dan's lifelong interest in sports and fitness drives him to assist other with their goals, whether that be improved mobility, injury recovery or general wellbeing. He also has experience as a massage therapist and sports trainer for the Adelaide Crows FC. 

​

Outside of the clinic, Dan tries to keep up with his wife’s daily workout, enjoys walks with his family and dog and coaching his son’s junior Lacrosse team.

With more than 10 years of experience Jenny began her career as a Remedial Massage & Sports Therapist in the UK, establishing her own clinic, and teaching others including allied healthcare professionals. 

 

Jenny works with people from all walks of life, helping professionals and the local community alike to keep moving and enjoy life. She has specialist experience working with high level teams and Athletes.

 

Jenny takes a holistic, hands-on fascia focused approach, incorporating breath and functional movement education into her practice. Her treatment combines her skills, knowledge and specialised training in Myofascial Release, Breathwork with Oxygen Advantage® and Functional Training as Human Foundations Practitioner with Functional Patterns. Each treatment session is tailored to your individual needs with overall improvement in movement and wellbeing at the core. The ultimate outcome is to enable optimal form, function, and performance. Healthy fascia means a healthy you!
