What does it mean to be a ‘multi-disciplinary clinic’, and what does that actually look like for you as a client?

You may have heard us describe our clinic as a “multi-disciplinary clinic”
What does that mean for you?
In simple terms, it means you’re not limited to just one type of treatment or one way of approaching your pain or performance goals.
Instead, we bring together a team of health professionals who work collaboratively to support you from different angles.
Under one roof, we offer:
Chiropractic care
Physiotherapy
Sports therapy
Remedial Massage therapy
Exercise Physiology
Podiatry
Acupuncture
Rather than treating a symptom in isolation, we look at the bigger picture, how your body moves, loads, recovers, and adapts.
It means your care is tailored, not one-size-fits-all.
If you’re coming in with back pain, it might not just be about adjusting a joint. It could be appropriate to involve:
Hands-on treatment to reduce pain
Strength work to build resilience
Movement retraining to prevent it returning
Foot or gait assessment if mechanics are contributing
Recovery work to help you stay consistent
And importantly, your practitioners communicate with each other. That collaboration helps us create a clear, staged plan, so you’re not bouncing between treatments without direction!
We’re not suggesting you need to see every practitioner at once.
What we are saying is that at different stages of your care and recovery, different approaches become more valuable. Early on, the focus might be settling pain and irritation. As things improve, the emphasis may shift toward rebuilding strength, improving movement, and enhancing performance.
This is where a multi-disciplinary clinic becomes most effective, when the right support is introduced at the right time!
Example 1: The Runner
Let’s say you’re training for a marathon and develop persistent knee pain.
Early stage:
Physio or Chiro to assess load and diagnose your injury
Sports Therapy or Remedial Massage Therapy to calm irritation and assist recovery
Mid-stage:
Exercise Physiology to strengthen supporting muscles and improve running capacity
Podiatry assessment for footwear or biomechanics if needed
Performance stage:
Chiropractic care to maintain joint mobility and movement efficiency
Ongoing strength and load progression to prevent recurrence
Instead of just “treating the knee,” we guide you through each phase, helping you stay training while addressing the underlying contributors so you can perform better, not just feel better!
Example 2: The Niggling Lower Back Pain
Now imagine you sit at a desk most of the week and your neck and lower back are constantly tight and sore.
Early stage:
Chiropractic or physio care to reduce discomfort
Remedial Massage to ease muscle tension
Progression stage:
Exercise Physiology to build strength and posture endurance
Sports Therapy for simple movement strategies that fit into your workday
Long-term:
Maintenance care or occasional check-ins to stay ahead of ‘flare-ups’
The goal isn’t just short-term relief.
It’s helping you move better, feel stronger, and build resilience over time.
Our Goal
We aren’t here to “fix” you.
Your body isn’t broken, it’s responding to stress, load, and life.
We’re here to guide you. To educate you. To provide the right treatment options at the right time, using a knowledgeable and professional approach that supports your individual journey.
Pain and performance aren’t separate things. They’re part of the same process, and when managed collaboratively and progressively, they work together to help you reach your goals.
If you’ve ever felt like you were only addressing part of the problem, a ‘multi-disciplinary’ approach may be exactly what’s been missing!
